Things & Terms To Know
Scorch Mark Killer: The Scorch Mark Killer remains at large, never found even though he or she has been hunted for over the span of many years, with a prominent search being forged by all countries together eighteen years ago. The murderer takes his victims without leaving a single trace of evidence behind, too often times in their bedrooms which are secured, and leaves only a hand-shaped brand on their chests as his or her signature. Eighteen years ago, the murders teetered off a bit to prove that the Scorch Mark Killer had gone into some form of hiding and carefully only chose victims of little status or who lived on the borderlands of any given territory. Now, however, the current problems of the world have masked his importance once more, and the murderer is proving his or her taste for noble and high born blood while he hides under the shroud of current events.
The Ardentia Empire: The Ardentia Empire is the result of the combined forces of both Phoenix Queen Pallas Bloodskin and Noctivagan Queen, and now Empress, Xanthe Ezriska. Though it is of Xanthe's workings and she subsequently masters the strings of her often claimed "puppet show", Pallas Bloodskin was allowed to retain her title and the majority of her governing power over the Cimmerii and it's demonic inhabitants, and has become a very close right hand to Xanthe. The Empire seeks expansion over all of Dustanova, however, and Silvanus and Glendenvale have never shown much interest in being taken over.
The Wargrounds/The Graveyard: Other names for Glendenvale, which is placed in the center of Dustanova and has become the most bloodstained area in the world's most recent conflicts. These nicknames are only freely uttered amidst commoners, however, as nobles and leaders of Silvanus and Glendenvale alike worry over insulting human King Hiraos Fonfala with such titles.
Hiasatan: What the merfolk refer to themselves/their race as. Though most of Dustanova calls them the 'merfolk', it is more or less considered a derogatory term amongst them.
Havfrue: The rarely spoken of or alluded to underwater city, from where the merfolk came.
Magic: If your character is magically talented, then one should keep in mind that save for a very few oddities, magical abilities are elementally based and thus should be rooted in either fire, water, earth, or air.
Seasons: Originally, Dustanova had no actual model on which to change seasons. Dustanova: Wargames has improved upon this and, due to the proven life of this role play, we are going with a real-time schedule of three months to each season.
