The Dihurt Mines have proven fruitful of diamonds; it has long since founded a small town of artisans, traders, and miners who plunge into the rocky, dangerous depths in order to acquire these beautiful jewels and cut them into the articulate pieces worn by men. Children will sometimes find themselves work here, only to be shooed off to the women of the town who are very rarely seen in public, communicating with each other on paper fans in a written language they developed to speak without the stress of their men. The men are rowdy but superstitious folk, and enjoy a drink at the Coal Stallion Inn and a few games of cards when they can.
